Author Miriam Carey is the travel editor for Publications International, Ltd., publisher of Mobil Travel Guide. Founding editor of LongWeekends magazine and former travel editor at Ohio magazine, she is also a member of the International Food, Wine and Travel Writers Association. A frequent contributor to newspapers and magazines, Carey enjoys writing about professionals in the travel and food industry who convey a passionate commitment to their craft. A former resident of Lakewood, Ohio, Carey currently lives in Chicago.

Ian Adams is an environmental photographer and teacher specializing in natural, rural, historical, and garden photography. Fifteen books of his photography have been published, including Our Ohio, and more than four thousand of his color photographs have appeared in numerous calendars, posters, magazines, and other publications.
