Summary

Raise thriving humans with this practical, heartfelt approach based on the wisdom of Dr. Maria Montessori and the principles of modern conscious parenting.

Peaceful Montessori Parenting is for all parents, caregivers, and anyone interested in fostering a conscious Montessori lifestyle. A certified Montessori guide and conscious parenting consultant, author Haley Turner is also a parent, and understands the struggles of balancing the demands of modern life while striving to provide a nurturing environment for children to flourish.

Whether you’re a first-time parent or have multiple children, a caregiver responsible for children’s well-being and education, or someone eager to support friends and family in raising children, this guide is for you.

Built on the foundation of Dr. Maria Montessori’s principles and covering the first plane of development (roughly ages 1–6), the book is divided into four parts:

  • The Guide’s Role: Understanding your crucial role in your child’s development.
  • The Child’s Role: Insights into your child’s journey and needs.
  • The Environment: Creating an ideal and realistic environment for learning and growth.
  • The Work: Exploring why, how, and when to offer Montessori-inspired activities.

These approaches are grounded both in research and a shared commitment to respecting children as active, capable learners. Together, they emphasize the importance of providing children with respect, empathy, and guidance.

Throughout, simple, budget-friendly projects and activities inspire you to turn any space into rich learning environments that foster independence, curiosity, and respect.

Regardless of whether your children attend a Montessori school, Peaceful Montessori Parenting is your guide to bringing Dr. Montessori’s brilliant insights into your own home.
