Summary

Featuring the stellar standalone adventures of Rick and Morty Presents: Rick in a Box, Fricky Friday, and The Science of Summer! All-new tales from the far side of the Rick and Morty omniverse starring Rick, Morty, and . . . Summer?!

Things get hairy when Jerry f**ks up Rick and Morty’s R&R by releasing a horde of nanobot-infused hair dolls in Rick in a Box; Rick and Morty track down the culprit who’s been body-swapping members of the Smith family across the multiverse in Fricky Friday; and Summer, tired of being sidelined, teams up with her social media maven future-self for an adventure she’ll probably forget in The Science of Summer

Author Biography

Rafer Roberts has been making comics professionally for over two decades. He is the writer and co-creator of Modern Fantasy, published by Dark Horse Comics, and Grumble, published by Eric Powell’s Albatross Funnybooks. Rafer was the writer on A&A: The Adventures of Archer and Armstrong and Harbinger: Renegade for Valiant Comics. His work on X-O Manowar #38 received two Harvey Award nominations for the Special Award for Humor in Comics and Best Cartoonist. His artwork has appeared in the Eisner Award–winning anthology Little Nemo: Dream Another Dream from Locust Moon Press. His self-published work includes the long running Plastic Farm, Nightmare the Rat, and the Tumblr famous Thanos and Darkseid: Carpool Buddies of Doom which he co-created with Justin Jordan.

Michael Moreci is a screenwriter and bestselling comics author. His award-winning debut feature film, Revealer, premiered on Shudder in the summer of 2022. It’s soon to be followed by Holiday Holdup, a crime comedy that Michael wrote and directed. He was also recently hired by Paper Street Pictures to write the suspense thriller Come Find Me. In the comics space, Michael is the creator of the acclaimed gothic horror series The Plot, the werewolf drama Curse, the existential space opera Wasted Space, and the post-apocalyptic thriller Spree, which he co-created with It screenwriter Gary Dauberman. Michael’s also the creator of the smash hit sword-and-sorcery series Barbaric, which Entertainment Weekly, Thrillist, and many others called one of the best comics of the year. He’s also written for numerous legendary characters and properties, including Star Wars, Rick and Morty, Batman, Stranger Things, and more.

Magdalene Visaggio is the Eisner- and GLAAD Media Award-nominated writer behind Kim & Kim, Eternity Girl, Dazzler: X Song, Transformers vs Visionaries, and Morning in America. A lifelong comics reader, she studied English at Virginia Commonwealth University and did graduate work in Ethics & Moral Theology at Seton Hall before dropping out to focus on writing comics where people hit each other with guitars. When not writing, she’s probably passed out on her couch at three in the morning with a cat on top of her while Netflix asks if she wants to continue watching Star Trek: The Next Generation. She lives in Manhattan.

Since 1993, Zander Cannon has written and drawn comics about gods, robots, astronauts, police officers, paleontologists, aliens, feng shui masters, superheroes, and monsters. He lives in Minnesota with his strong wife, Julie, and above-average son, Jin.

Jarrett Williams was born in New Orleans, Louisiana. He attended the Savannah College of Art and Design (BFA & MFA in Sequential Art). In addition to his pro-wrestling/adventure series Super Pro K.O.! (Oni Press), he wrote and drew History Comics Hip-Hop: The Beat of America (MacMillan), which debuts January 2024. He is currently drawing his kids detective graphic novel series, Harper Sharp (Random House Graphic). He loves classic JRPGs and draws his comics traditionally. He can even draw Rick Sanchez with his eyes closed now!

For over twelve years, Leonardo Ito has brought worlds to life coloring properties such as Batman Animated, TMNT, Powerpuff Girls, Rick and Morty, and Sonic The Hedgehog, among many others. Japan, technology, and racing games are some of the things he won’t shut up about. If you don't believe him, just ask his wife.

Marc Ellerby is a comic book illustrator from the UK. He is probably most known for his work on the Rick and Morty comics from Oni Press and [adult swim]. He has worked with companies such as Disney, Warner Bros., BBC, Hasbro and Cartoon Network. However, he is never as happy when he is drawing his own comics such as Chloe Noonan: Monster Hunter or the autobiographical diary comic Ellerbisms.

Christopher Crank (crank!) has lettered a bunch of books put out by Image, Dark Horse, Oni Press, Dynamite, and elsewhere. He also has a podcast with comic artist Mike Norton and members of Four Star Studios in Chicago (crankcast.com), and makes music (sonomorti.bandcamp.com).
