The Soft-Hackled Fly, Nemes's first book, written in 1975, was the catalyst for the resurgence. He also describes his technique of fishing the flies.

Sylvester Nemes is author of "The Soft-Hackled Fly Addict" (0811716716) and "Two Centuries of Soft-Hackled Flies" (0811700488). He lives in Bozeman, Montana.
