The workbook portion includes an outstanding backing in traditional grammar and vocabulary, along with a writing component centered on useful tasks and expressions. The lab manual portion has a strong emphasis on pronunciation, accents, and intonation. For the online environment, up to 80 percent single-response activities allow for independent practice of vocabulary and structures.
