Summary

This title is only available as a loose-leaf version with Pearson eText.

This book presents a practical, concise, criterion-referenced, performance-based master learning model for helping middle and secondary school teachers individualize their instruction and devote their time and attention to specific learning activities that help all students excel academically and socially. It presents a real world, up-to-date look at what goes on in today’s classrooms through illustrative teaching scenarios, real-life examples, and authentic lesson and unit plans from a variety of disciplines. The new edition of Teaching in the Middle and Secondary Schools continues the focus on multicultural education and meeting the needs of all students, while addressing the important differentiation between middle and secondary students and including an increased emphasis on examples in the middle school context.
