Summary

The book covers textile-based energy harvesting and storage systems. It presents the principles of the smart fibers and fabrics, as well as the fabrication methods. Then it introduces in detail various fiber- or fabric-based energy harvesting and storage devices, including photovoltaics, piezoelectrics, triboelectrics, supercapacitors, batteries as well as sensing and self-powered electric fabrics. Expanded functions of the smart fabrics are also discussed, such as stretchability, hydrophobicity, air permeability and color-changeability.
