Summary

Cancer is often talked about as if it is a single illness, but it is actually a group of more than two hundred related diseases. All cancers started as one cell that grew and did not stop. In The Truth About Cancer: Understanding and Fighting a Deadly Disease, author Kristi Lew explains what cancer is, how it is diagnosed, and how it can be prevented and treated. Lew also looks at new tools being developed in the fight against cancer. Book jacket.
