Author Biography

William A. Hachten is professor emeritus of journalism and mass communication at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. A specialist in international communications and press/government relations, he is the author of six books and numerous articles James F. Scotton is associate professor of journalism at Marquette University in Milwaukee. He has taught in China, Egypt, Kenya, Nigeria, and Uganda, and has worked as a reporter, editorial writer, or editor with the Associated Press and newspapers in several states
